Lighten up!

When I’m identified with the ego then I’ve lost my sense of humor, or I’m having a laugh at the expense of Love.  When I’m in my loving heart, I’m lighthearted and there’s much to appreciate and enjoy.  The time is always right for us to call ourselves back to our loving hearts and lighten up.

Lesson 190 in A Course in Miracles is “I choose the joy of God instead of pain.”  It starts with, “Pain is a wrong perspective.  It is a proof of self-deception.  It is not a fact at all.  That is no form it takes that will not disappear if seen aright.”

How many times have you convinced yourself that things were bad and wrong and suffered in vain?  Would you do that to someone you loved?  Would you torture them with your opinions and judgments?  I used to do that.  No more.  I have learned to love myself.  Now, I am lighthearted and it’s easy to laugh.  I laugh for no reason and I love for no reason except that it is my true nature.

Today let’s intend to lighten up.  The path of en-lighten-ment is before us today and we’re choosing to find the joy in each step!  We give the heavy lifting to the Holy Spirit and we cultivate our willingness to be happy.  We seek first the Kingdom, which is within, knowing that ALL ELSE will be added unto us.  At last, we seek and we can actually find.
