One of my favorite teachings from A Course in Miracles is:
I am here only to be truly helpful.
I am here to represent Him Who sent me.
I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He Who sent me will direct me.
I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me.
I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.
My experience has shown me that the greatest joy comes from being in full alignment with Divine Will. In this alignment there is a sense that I am representing the Divine – the One who sent me.
For the longest time there was the resistance to surrender. And then came the realization that surrender was not giving up, or giving in, but instead it is making a holy offering of the sense of separation. For me, surrender is offering to the holy fire any sense that I have a need that isn’t met IN my connection with the Divine – which is how I experience the Kingdom within.
It is in my surrendering the need to have a separate life that I can be truly helpful.
Not perpetuating the illusion of separation is how I can be truly helpful.
Remembering to extend Love and compassion to my brothers and sisters is how I can be truly helpful.
