It’s easy to recognize that alcohol and drug abuse are both a consequence and a cause of violence. Who among us has not been touched by the harm created by these addictions? Imagine how different life would be if this form of violence did not exist.
In walking my talk and truly living a life of love, I decided to look at my own behaviors and see where I needed to do an intervention with myself. This level of spiritual inquiry is a deep practice of love. Addiction feels violent and harmful. Love is the healer. Love is the only healer and it often requires a profound and simple honesty. In order to receive the best from the world I must be in deep honesty with myself.
Knowing that love is the most powerful force in the universe, today I have the courage to go an extra step and intervene with myself. I look at any way that I have made anything, including God, a drug or addiction. Through my honesty and integrity with myself I may inspire others to do the same.
Affirmation:
I AM motivated by eternal love. God loves me and so do I.
Wonderful Jennifer, thank you again! ☺
I feel sooo blessed, miracles are ‘coming my way’ so abundantly the last couple of months, it is breathtaking.
