My spiritual community for the last 25 years or so has been the New Thought community of Unity, Science of Mind and Agape.
In the last seven years or so the movie THE SECRET captured people’s attention about how to use spiritual principle, specifically, “the law of attraction,” to manifest stuff and also to change the circumstances of their life. The movie shared the fundamental teaching of “what you think about, you bring about.” As it says in A Course in Miracles, “All thought produces form at some level.”
It used to be that spiritual seekers had an aversion to wealth and opulent living because it was believed that
- It’s better to give than to receive
- Money is the root of all evil
- Rich people are corrupt and selfish and will never enter heaven
Now, it’s popular to believe that being able to manifest stuff and accumulate great wealth can be a sign of great spiritual knowing. “She’s a great manifestor.” I can remember when I was a newly licensed Science of Mind Practitioner that I wanted to be a master manifestor, because I thought that would mean I was very spiritual.
I’m so profoundly grateful that my spiritual practice has led me to the realization that if I want ANYTHING then I must be thinking I don’t already have it.
The kingdom IS within.
The kingdom is every spiritual quality as well as the ability to express, reveal and demonstrate them fully and completely in every single moment.
Simply put: You ARE the kingdom of the God.
If you are WANTING anything then you must not remember that the kingdom is within.
The kingdom is pre-installed. Why look outside yourself for anything when it’s all already there, within you?
Our work is to release our attachment to the false idols. In order to experience the fullness of the kingdom within we must willingly release the attachment to the idea that anything that we could manifest or demonstrate in the world is more valuable to us than the full realization that the kingdom is within.
Money is a symbol. You can collect billions of symbols and use them in the world in all kinds of ways, but that will never help you remember that you already have it all.
Why invest one more minute in looking outside yourself for something to worship and prove your worth, when all you need do is accept the kingdom as it is. God IS your life already! What could be better than that?

I AM the living kingdom of God and I demonstrate Love as my life NOW!
