So often we really do not have any idea what something is for. When I got the guidance to offer the Living A Course in Miracles series, I thought it was simply about sharing from the overflow of good that I was receiving. It’s turned out to be so much more than that.
As I’ve often said, had I known how much work it would be to put on when I started I’m quite certain I would have backed away. It’s good we often forget that God operates on a bait and switch so much of the time.
I’ve learned to be grateful. Even when people come to me complaining because of whatever I give thanks because I’d like to be able to love and support those who feel left out or disappointed.
I’ve learned to be grateful for what is, whether I understand it, whether I like it and whether or not I want it. There’s something in the practice of gratitude that multiplies the good.
The other morning here in Hawaii I was watching the sunrise and took this photo. The sun’s movement against the water and the shifting of the clouds was such a spectacular display. I was so grateful to be able to sit and watch. I felt like mother nature, the ocean and sky, sun and moon were all dancing and putting on the most spectacular show and I had the best seat in the house. What a gift! I marveled at how they do this every day, day after day and it’s so different each day and different all around the world. What a display!
The sunrise felt both ancient and fresh at the very same time. That’s a gift. There’s so much to be grateful for even when things are not as we would have them. Learning to be grateful for things just as they are is part of masterful living and I’m grateful to aspire to that level of living the love! I’m glad we’re doing it together!
