Yesterday I got an email from Joannie who had been listening to the two Living A Course in Miracles classes this week and who had a profound healing. I’m so grateful she shared it with me so that I can share it with you!
Joannie shared that she was raised as a catholic and went to Sunday mass where for years, she said this prayer over and over again:
“Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.”
She had made the meaning of it that she was unworthy – how could she not?
Very often this belief in unworthiness is the message of religion – many religions, and we, YOU and I are the ones who are healing that for humanity. Now is the time of our healing!
There is profound healing that happens when each of us is willing to realize we’re worthy of the love that we are.
There is not one of us that hasn’t had this challenge. Who among us hasn’t had so many opportunities to choose Love and refused. Who among us hasn’t energized negativity and separation with a feeling a vengeance? And haven’t most of us made the meaning of our choices and behavior that we are completely unworthy of God’s Love?
And yet it’s not true, never true. We must accept our worthiness, we must be WILLING to know this for ourselves and everyone. It’s time for us to love ourselves and forgive ourselves and invest our energy in that rather than shame and blame.
Our healing is now! Let’s share the benefits with everyone who has said prayers of unworthiness. Let us accept our healing now and share with all.
Affirmation:
I AM worthy of God’s Love. I AM worthy.
