One of the things that creates much distress for some folks is that they’re not facing the direction in which they’re traveling. If you’re often looking backwards with a critical eye, and a judging mind then you’ll be highly distracted, you’ll miss many important signs along the way. It’s fairly obvious isn’t it?
Would you drive your car, while mostly looking in the rear view mirror?
If you did drive that way, how fast would you go? Not very fast at all. It would be a slow and difficult journey to drive from one place to another mostly looking in the rear view mirror. And yet, for some folks this is how they live their life.
Living that way not only slows you down, it’s exhausting! I lived that way for a few years and it was, in every sense of the word, a DRAG. I don’t recommend it.
When I saw the sign, above, at Heathrow airport, I had to laugh! It seems so obvious, but it’s not. Signs are everywhere – sometimes they are obvious and that’s usually an indicator that we are seeing clearly at last! Hooray!
