Have you ever wanted to escape from your own mind?  Of course you have.  We all have.

In recent years escape rooms have become a popular form of entertainment.  I was thinking about this and realized that the ego thought system, this life on earth as an ego identified person, is the ULTIMATE escape room experience.

In case you don’t know, an escape room is a live‐action team‐based game where players cooperatively discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms in order to progress and accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time.  It sounds like fun when you know it’s a game.

However, when it’s our life and we feel we’re not making any progress, then it’s just frustrating.

Sometimes it feels like we’re trapped in cycles of the same repeating patterns – and we are.  It’s our decisions about ourselves, life, relationship, God, etc. coming up again and again for healing.  It can feel demoralizing to have the same arguments and upsets.  I remember it all too well and I am so glad the teachings of A Course in Miracles work!

The number one tool we have to escape the traps of the ego is to connect with our Higher Holy Spirit Self.

If we’re harboring a lot of judgments against ourselves and others it’s usually quite difficult to connect and stay connected to our spiritual nature.  This is where we can get tremendous traction with forgiveness.  This is why I feel it’s so important that we focus on forgiveness.

It’s hard to believe that forgiveness can really bring the benefits that it does.  It’s hard to believe because people think forgiveness is something other than what it ACTUALLY is.

Forgiveness isn’t saying that what happened is okay.

Forgiveness is releasing the judgments we made about things.

Releasing the judgments has been the most challenging thing I’ve EVER done in my entire life, and that’s why I like to give people tools that really work so they can feel successful and experience tremendous healing.  It really works when you work it!

Here’s a tip for letting the judgments go – it doesn’t matter if they’re about you or someone else – give them to Spirit for healing.  Give them away, give them UP.  Move out of managing and coping and call for a healing.  Ask the angels for the maximum healing support.  Don’t tell them what to do or how to do it, just ask for help.  They know what to do.  We just need to be willing.

I noticed just yesterday how a certain situation I’m in was filled with things that would have been intense triggers for me, and yet, I seem to be unbothered.  What would have been unacceptable and bothersome is now completely acceptable – and I know that it’s not that the situation has changed, but that I’ve changed my mind about it.

If you’re studying ACIM and not experiencing miracles of healing, then maybe you’re not actually giving your problems and concerns to Spirit for healing – maybe you’re trying to figure it out on your own.  Stop it, for God’s sake!

Let’s all escape the ultimate escape room.  Let’s love ourselves free of all forms of suffering.  Today’s the day!
