Now, as we approach our 51st anniversary (August 16), I am deeply grateful to report that my \u201cvision\u201d of a &#8220;holy relationship&#8221; is manifesting thought by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">thought, choice by choice ((love or fear), <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and day by day.\u00a0 This vision has now expanded to include all of my relationships.\u00a0 I am a \u201chappy learner\u201d experiencing a \u201cmiraculous life.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That being said, the past year has been full of opportunities to practice and exercise my spiritual muscles. I have learned, i.e. \u201cunlearned,\u201d countless &#8220;false beliefs that no longer serve.\u201d\u00a0 After last year\u2019s anniversary, I relaxed back from my daily practice.\u00a0 I took a \u201cvacation&#8221; from beginning the day with reciting my contract, setting my intention for the day, dedicating the day to love through prayer and meditation, reading the daily lesson in the ACIM workbook, and returning to love hourly to clear the shadows of the preceding hour. That lapse was painful.\u00a0 I learned that doing my practice with Rich was actually an \u201cattachment.\u201d\u00a0 I was setting myself up to be \u201cupset\u201d because we were not on the same time table, so I let it go.\u00a0 I remember the moment I chose to discipline my Self to do \u201cmy practice\u201d in \u201cmy\u201d time, with or without Rich\u2026..no judgment!\u00a0 No resentment!\u00a0 What happened?\u00a0 He spontaneously began to accompany me without my asking and often initiated \u201cour practice\u201d just by beating softly on his prayer carpet drum.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Then 2020 arrived, bringing with it a completely unexpected gift:\u00a0 Angela\u2019s decision to YouTube her daily reflections on the workbook lessons with Justine by her side.\u00a0 Now my practice appeared even more attractive and rewarding, like putting a cherry on top of the best ice cream sundae I\u2019ve ever eaten.\u00a0 Next came the pandemic and with it the unimaginable life of self-imposed quarantine.\u00a0 Rich and I stayed home, except for essential errands, developed our own yoga practice, and created a new schedule.\u00a0 All of the fear, sorrow, and judgment the pandemic seemed to represent stoked the temptation for us to become irritable, act out well-rehearsed patterns of arguing, and even create a \u201cthunderstorm,\u201d as one friend called it.\u00a0 The Divine Alarm Clock struck twelve and I\/we both heard it.\u00a0 My\/Our dedication to practice met the intensity of the invitation and I\/we were rewarded.\u00a0 When tempted to judge, I replaced the judgment thought with, \u201cMay he be blessed.\u00a0 May he be happy.\u00a0 May he be loved.\u201d\u00a0 Sometimes I said this aloud and other times I whispered it through clenched teeth, always choosing to remember that the Deep Desire of my Heart was to Love not to judge.\u00a0 Every request for help was rewarded.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3032\" style=\"width: 284px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3032\" class=\"wp-image-3032\" src=\"https:\/\/powerofloveministry.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Beloved-dog-Anna-214x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"385\" srcset=\"https:\/\/powerofloveministry.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Beloved-dog-Anna-214x300.png 214w, https:\/\/powerofloveministry.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Beloved-dog-Anna-731x1024.png 731w, https:\/\/powerofloveministry.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Beloved-dog-Anna.png 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 274px) 100vw, 274px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-3032\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our Beloved Spirit dog, Anna<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During these same months of continuous confinement, we got to enjoy each and every day with our beloved<br \/>\n14+-year-old spirit dog, Anna.\u00a0 She was demonstrating how to age miraculously with Grace and Ease.\u00a0 She modeled unconditional love, never complained, and always spoke gently to each one of us.\u00a0 Although she was barely able to walk, when we carried her outside, she breathed in deeply all the scents filling the air.\u00a0 She would stand and let the breeze wrap around and stroke her body.\u00a0 She looked at the steps by our door to consider daily whether she wanted to go up to them for the sheer pleasure of the achievement.
