Prayer to me: Reaching out and reaching within. It is an act of willingness to open up. To be available and to choose again. It is transformative healing. It is a remembrance of the direction we are heading. An act of open-mindedness and of letting go. It is coming together. A conversation with Self and the Benevolent Intelligence that makes up the very fabric of our being. All that within a few simple moments. Stopping, to just take the time to open up and soften…<\/p>\n

\u201c…our idea of prayer changes as our idea of God changes\u201d ~Ernest Holmes<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This rings true for me and has been my experience with Prayer. Having had no knowledge of Prayer prior to Masterful Living<\/em>, I\u2019ve really taken to it as my \u2018go-to.\u2019 Prayer has supported me in actively taking responsibility for the thoughts I think. Relinquishing unhealthy mental habits and my identity to them-an ongoing practice. It supports me in navigating and redirecting my mind. Letting go of trying to figure it all out and manage all the things.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of my Masterful Living<\/em> journey, Prayer was one practice I found I could actually commit to. Navigating all the options for daily spiritual practice in Masterful Living<\/em> seemed overwhelming. Working in construction year-round meant I needed a spiritual practice that I could use in my day-to-day life. I began a daily prayer practice in my car on route to work every morning. A great space to practice out loud. It didn\u2019t take long before I had acquired multiple prayer partners. Having so many steady partnerships, I got to see prayer really working in my life, as well as the lives of my partners. Without fail, breakthroughs would occur and healings would unfold.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What felt most evident in the beginning, was that consistent and steady focus on willingness proved worthwhile. As my belief and faith strengthened in the power of prayer, holding a high watch for others became instinctive and easy. The certainty that our minds very well can be healed, that they are being healed, and that these healings are happening easily! I wouldn\u2019t say I knew how prayer worked, but I knew that it did! It became clear after a couple of years of praying out loud in my car, that this was a great confidence builder for me as well.<\/p>\n

When the opportunity presented to pray for\/with others in the Power of Love Prayer Room, it was an easy choice and transition. Taking in multiple prayers and holding greater numbers in a single prayer, expanded my consciousness and capacity to trust. Having prayed in our Prayer room for over a year now, my love and stability have grown in this quick, efficient, and transformative practice. The Prayer Room has been so useful for me as a participant in moments of desperation or when I\u2019d like to supercharge my own trust and faith. Having access multiple times a day, the support is steady. I really feel grateful for those moments I just needed someone to believe in me. Believe that I could rise above perceived circumstances. Hold the knowledge for me, that there was no doubt the highest and best is unfolding. Getting the opportunity to be lifted by my community, having people\u2019s appreciation, adoration, and enjoyment in prayer together is a steady affirmation I get to experience now.<\/p>\n

It is so clear to me that we are rising up together and being transformed. Our minds are healing and it is happening easily and with the greatest efficiency. One to ten minutes of prayer can have such an impact on how we feel emotionally, how our mind is experienced, and how our physical body responds as well. Holy instants occur. For me, I feel they are normal now.<\/p>\n

Having prayer being such a practical part of my life, it was a natural progression to join Jennifer\u2019s Prayer Practitioner Training. Though the year is still young in this program, it has drastically changed me and my prayers. I wouldn\u2019t say that the words have changed much. The format of Gratitude, Offering up, Declaration and Sharing are still the same. Though, it feels my prayers are more powerful, clear, direct, and more easily to the heart of things. This class has brought me much more into the realm of unity consciousness. The consciousness of the One is a part of my day-to-day life. There is a greater willingness to sense for and touch into, the Divine Intelligence in all things, in my life. This has been quite the shift from my initial aspiration in Masterful Living<\/em> 3 years ago: to simply have mental hygiene.<\/p>\n

I am grateful for the power of prayer. I am grateful for all those who hold me and mine in prayer. I am truly grateful to all those who join me in prayer. It is such a delight to experience the feeling before and after prayer.<\/p>\n
