For me personally, one of the most valuable sections in A Course in Miracles is Manual for Teachers, Chapter IV, section A. Development of Trust.
It’s really worth studying and I tell everyone in Masterful Living to read it every day for a week and then once a week thereafter.
This section maps out our journey in consciousness, and I find it helpful to see that there is a map – and that we’re not experiencing random acts of insanity. There is a higher plan, and it’s WORKING.
Fundamentally, this section tells us that if we’re making false idols of things in our life, that are distracting us from the life we’re meant to live, and detouring us from our awakening, things may be taken away from us, only so that we can realize they had no real value and they were, in fact, a delay in our happiness.
Of course, it takes great willingness to realize that the job we wanted so badly, and finally got, was actually not the best job for us and would never make us happy, therefore being fired from it is a GOOD thing. I had that experience.
It takes great willingness to see that anything we love so much might, in fact, be misleading us and preventing from a much greater Love.
This is a world of tricks and deception, smoke and mirrors, distractions and insanity, seeking and not finding. And, we can be determined to find our way through by listening to the one voice of the Higher Holy Spirit Self, AND, most importantly, not making our own decisions.
Let’s turn all important decisions over to the Higher Holy Spirit Self and allow ourselves to be led and guided!
We’ve got heaven as our destination and there’s that within us that does know the way!
