I have found it’s VERY helpful to keep my eye on the prize – which is Peace, and that’s what comes with spiritual awakening.

Many times people have told me they have no idea what spiritual awakening means.  It’s not complicated, but people can make it complicated.

Spiritual Awakening is when we’re truly peaceful, truly loving, and we’re in tune with the higher Wisdom of the Universe.  It’s when we’re no longer identified with our body, and with the small-minded nature of the personality.  We see ourselves as our Higher Holy Spirit Self, expansive and free – in the flow of Love and Wisdom.

How do we get there?

Fortunately we don’t have to get there – we’re actually already there.  It’s who we truly are and what we’ll always be.  However, if we have opinions, judgments and beliefs (all of which are false constructs) then we’re choosing to value those over the Freedom of Pure Spirit.  

That’s where most of humanity is – holding onto false beliefs, blocking the Light of the Christ in our mind.  It’s a limited way of living and viewing the world.  

Our goal, the prize we keep our eye on, is remembering what’s true and releasing attachments (mental and emotional) to what’s false.  

Willingness is all that’s required for us to awaken.

Once on this path in a committed way, we begin to notice how strong the attachments are to the false beliefs, perceptions and projections.  And so our practice is to go back to being willing to remember that we’re never upset for the reason we think, and until we can see through all directions of time and space, we just don’t know what anything is for.  Still, everything will work together for our good, and we can see it and comprehend it if we’re willing – back to willingness again.

For me, my goal, every day, is to keep my eye on the prize and not sweat the small stuff (it’s all small stuff compared to the prize of awakening) and it’s getting easier every day, for which I’m so very grateful!  Hallelujah!
