It’s easy to get discouraged and feel pessimistic.  That’s the way of the world, isn’t it?

The majority of spiritual students I’ve known in my life have been thoroughly convinced that this spiritual stuff works for other people and not for them because they’re not special enough.

It’s such a common belief.

It was my belief about myself too.

I felt I was especially bad, and that disqualified me from spiritual goodies like a deep understanding and feeling connected to Spirit.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

And now I’m absolutely glad and grateful that I used to be so completely convinced of that negative belief.

Why be glad?

Because, now that I can see that was completely false, and now that I’ve witnessed so many other people dispel that belief too, I can be encouraging to the ones who feel completely discouraged.

For me, to be able to absolutely know that a person who feels convinced it won’t work for them is absolutely wrong, and to be able to stand by them and with them to witness their breakthrough is worth everything I had to go through to have the insight that I now have.

See, back then, I thought things were against me and I was discouraged.

Now, I can see that life was SQUEEZING the false beliefs right out of me.

Of course, I might have succumbed.  I might have collapsed.  But I didn’t.

I survived it and I had a breakthrough I now share with many thousands of people, and I hear from them all the time telling me how encouraged they are.

So, I ask you, are you willing to accept that maybe, just maybe what you labeled as a curse is your greatest blessing if you’re WILLING to find the blessing in it?

A Course in Miracles tells us again and again:

Everything works together for good …

Everything is helpful …

Everything was gently planned by one whose only interest is your good …

We can be willing to know that these things are true until we actually do.

And we must also be RECEPTIVE to the good.

It’s a fact:  people who feel unworthy of the good in life will actually say no when it’s offered to them.  Then, they think good things don’t happen for them.  Good things ARE happening for them, but they don’t see it because they won’t accept it.  Be willing to be receptive to the good in life and you’ll get more of it.

Be grateful.

Gratitude multiplies the good and is its vibrational match.

Like attracts like.

Gratitude attracts more to be grateful for.

And when we do finally know what we didn’t know, then, the years the locusts seem to have eaten are given back to us to multiply and share with others.  Then we can finally see that we’re right on track and everything is perfect.

Helping to facilitate big shifts in consciousness is part of why I love being a spiritual counselor and why I love training spiritual counselors and empowering them.  Please consider working with one of the spiritual counselors I’m training – you can book a session on a donation basis with the folks in training – look here:  http://jenniferhadley.com/spiritual-counselors/

MY LATEST ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: We’re still challenged to get it uploaded. I hope that will happen today. My topic is Fear & Weakness Transformed. Looking at one of the most basic teachings of A Course in Miracles to help us rise above the battlefield of fear and hopelessness.
