Even after years of deep healing work, I had a situation a few years ago that was a little bit gnarly. Some members of my family attacked me and called me a liar – even though I wasn’t lying, and I had all kinds of proof that I wasn’t lying.
My proof didn’t matter.
Because it wasn’t about whether I was telling the truth or not. It was about a splinter I still had in my mind, in my consciousness, that I needed to heal. That splinter was about really, truly taking responsibility for everything I see and everything I feel – and knowing that everything that bothers me is a cry for Love.
I am here to answer all cries for Love. That’s what I’m here to do.
Extending Love, extending patience, kindness, and willingness to everyone everywhere under all circumstances – that’s answering the cry for Love. That’s what our life is for.
When we recognize that, then this extraordinary self-fullness is revealed.
A Course in Miracles tells us: “To have, give all to all.”
From that desire to share, to extend the self-fullness of the Kingdom, as well as to experience it ourselves at all times – that desire to share and extend is healing our whole life and being. It works in a miraculous way.
Here’s what I’ve come to see: I’ve been through a real shift. When someone in my family gets upset or even attacks me, I can now hold the fort of my own consciousness. I can be patient. I can be kind. I can be generous from my heart – not because I’m trying to be good, but because that’s who I really am.
I tried spiritual superiority. I tried spiritual inferiority. Neither one works. What works is oneness. Total oneness. That’s what I’m interested in.
We start where we are. It’s always a good time to start. Having done this healing work for many years now, I can bear witness that even the gnarly situations become opportunities to work those last splinters out of our consciousness.
