Yesterday as I walked around Assisi and had time to meditate and pray in communion with beloved St. Francis and St. Clare, it became so clear to me how much goodness there is that we can accept, if we are willing to choose it. I used to have so many negative affirmations each day and the goodness felt far away. I used to wonder, “how will I ever get there?”
Now, I really see, more and more each day, that it is so important to actively surrender all those attachments to trying to figure things out, and trying to be happy and trying to get something. Let it all go. Instead, open to receive.
When I didn’t feel worthy, I didn’t allow myself to fully receive.
When I didn’t feel worthy the good felt far away.
How did I come to feel worthy?
I began to be more and more compassionate.
Compassion is loving understanding.
There’s so much more we can learn about how powerful our mind is.
I learn more every day. What a journey!

What a blessing is being poured out upon everyone of us every day.
God’s goodness is in EVERYTHING, even in our wounds and pains and confusion. My learning to accept that allowed me to ask to understand how that could be true. And it continues to unfold and reveal itself to me every day.
Every day has amazing gems of beauty to be discovered, like hidden treasures.
