Many times people think that being authentic means that other people won’t like them. Sometimes people think that being authentic means saying everything you think and feel. Well, if we all said everything we think and feel all of the time it would definitely be an interesting experience, wouldn’t it?
For me, being authentic means not presenting a false self. My true Self is authentically loving, kind, patient, generous and adventurous. The false self is afraid, judgmental, complaining, blaming and shaming.
When I’m feeling joyful and sharing, I’m being authentic.
Complaining isn’t being authentic.
You see, it’s about being willing to be your TRUE Self, your Higher Holy Spirit Self – and to stop identifying with the self you think is selfish, bad, wrong, cruel, mean and petty. That’s not anyone’s authentic self. Phew!
If you’re finding what I’m sharing to be helpful won’t you please share at facebook and twitter to let others know? Thank you!
