No Fences is the title of an album of songs by Garth Brooks and it’s also a great to think about your life. A Turkish proverb says, “He who builds himself a fence, fences out more than he fences in.” Fences are territorial markers that often can easily be gotten around. Do I really need fences in my relationships? It’s something I have to examine all the time. It’s not an easy question to answer. Safety can be as much an illusion as the threat.

In order to receive fully, I must be fully open. In my openness there is both great strength and great vulnerability. It is not easy to remain open and to have faith in the midst of moments that can feel threatening. When I manage to do it, I find that my openness is an invitation to extraordinary gifts. The door to the sanctuary is inside my heart. The desire of my heart is known everywhere. My needs and desires are holy.

Today I anchor into the deepest desire of my heart and I open to RECEIVE the divine idea of how that is to be fulfilled. My receptivity naturally magnetizes the fulfillment of the divine desire in me, for what is known in my heart is known everywhere. This is God’s grace showing up in my life. I am blessed, I know it. Now, I can share the blessing with the world.
