Have you ever used fear to motivate yourself to get something accomplished? Of course you have! We’ve all done it.

Fear is a powerful motivator.

What’s important for us to realize is that we can choose to motivate ourselves with fear, or we can inspire ourselves with a vision of our holiness.

We really can choose one or the other.

It’s just that the fear is so familiar and we know exactly how it goes so we can choose fear in our sleep, whereas the vision of holiness requires us to wake up and smell the spiritual espresso.

I love this passage from A Course in Miracles. It inspires me every time! It offers a vision of our holiness and the way to live without fear. It’s clear and it’s inviting.

God is praised whenever any mind learns to be wholly helpful. This is impossible without being wholly harmless, because the two beliefs must coexist. The truly helpful are invulnerable, because they are not protecting their egos and so nothing can hurt them. Their helpfulness is their praise of God, and He will return their praise of Him because they are like Him, and they can rejoice together. God goes out to them and through them, and there is great joy throughout the Kingdom. Every mind that is changed adds to this joy with its individual willingness to share in it. The truly helpful are God’s miracle workers, whom I direct until we are all united in the joy of the Kingdom. I will direct you to wherever you can be truly helpful, and to whoever can follow my guidance through you. T-4.VII.8.

Let’s decide to be wholly helpful. What have we got to loose?

We will only loose the causes of our suffering and the suffering those causes produce. It feels like a great exchange.

Our willingness is ALL that’s required.

No hidden charges, no extra fees. The whole thing is ours for the asking and receiving.

Today’s the day!
