Sometimes I feel amazed by how many of us on this spiritual path spend so many years caught in the belief that the healing offered by these New Thought and A Course in Miracles teachings won’t work for us.
I’d even go so far as to say, most people begin from a place of believing that it won’t work for them, but that it works for others. They believe that they are both unworthy and not good enough for it to work for them.
That was me.
I had to be WILLING to change that belief before I could experience the true miracle I was looking for.
It doesn’t matter that they believe God is Love and that God doesn’t have favorites. Many feel they’ve tried and tried and it doesn’t work. And it doesn’t work because they don’t have the secret sauce.
So, then, if you’re like me, you go looking for the secret sauce and try to find out who has it or who knows where you can get it. And that usually leads to a bunch of seeking without finding. Plus a great deal of frustration and feeling like a failure.
It’s because we’re looking outside ourselves that we fail.
ACIM tells us that the altar of God is within our heart.
That is the most sacred place in this world.
When we seek the kingdom within, then we find. Hallelujah.
If we can just get our opinions out of the way.
When we pray to know and remember the truth then we’ll begin to recognize it. And then we begin to whittle away the false beliefs of unworthiness.
But we don’t have to do the slow drip method. We ALL have access to the holy instant now. Without delay.
Whether we believe it or not, it’s still true. We can hit the easy button.
We don’t have to work for it – we just have to be willing.
