Forgiveness is the only tool I know of for opening the door to a life that is happy, prosperous, healthy and harmonious. I’ve been teaching forgiveness workshops and classes since 2000, and I have been consistently amazed at the miraculous stories people have told me, and, of course, my own miraculous healing experiences.
When emotions take us over like this, even minor frustration or irritation, it’s coming up in our awareness so that we will choose healing rather than stuff it back down again. When people keep stuffing it back down time and again, that’s when they either implode or explode. We all already know that, don’t we? It really makes life a lot harder to enjoy. So, why don’t we stop doing it?
It’s because we don’t actually like to forgive.
We’d like the Freedom and Peace of mind that forgiveness brings, but without having to actually forgive.
The resentments, regrets, guilt, blame, shame, and everything feels like self-betrayal, or betrayal by others, is like a black sticky tar that we apply to ourselves and our lives. And then we take it into our relationships to try to have a healing, but sometimes, we’re just not willing and we take that beautiful relationship and turn it into a big stinking mess.
Have you ever tried to remove tar from your clothes or skin? Not a fun job.
A lot of people say they’d like to forgive, but they don’t actually mean it. What they really mean is, “I’d like to be free of this pain and hold onto my judgments about what happened.” That’s not forgiveness.
Forgiveness really means that you Love yourself enough to let go of the past and be present in the moment. It’s so completely life-changing – it opens the door to Prosperity, physical, mental and emotional healing, and, of course, spiritual awakening.
In the end, there’s not one resentment that we can hold onto AND awaken. Our resentments are like a heavy weight that keeps us from rising in Love. Relationships are our best help in healing. And that’s why I am dedicated to supporting anyone who is willing to get out of relationship hell.
