In Masterful Living this week I was sharing about a powerful shift in my thinking.
I made a conscious decision that I wasn’t going to tolerate self-attack in any form.
I made the decision that if the sense of failure, not enoughness, being wrong, arose in my mind I wouldn’t entertain it. I wouldn’t allow it.
There’s a Turkish proverb that goes something like “You can’t stop the birds from flying around your head, but you don’t have to let them build a nest in your hair.”
That was a powerful realization for me. I could observe the thoughts arising in my awareness, but I didn’t have to choose to think them. I could let them pass me by. I didn’t have to agree to think them.
Additionally, I actively began to practice being more loving to everyone, including myself.
The combo of not entertaining the stinking thinking along with being more loving was a recipe for rising up and letting go of those negative thoughts FOREVER.
I can barely remember what it felt like to have all that unworthiness swirling around in my mind. I’m so glad that’s over!
The fact that it truly can be OVER, is a miracle to me. It’s the miracle of miracles.
And that’s why I feel so grateful to be able to share my journey and to walk with others on this path. It’s a path of miracles!
