In my radio show yesterday I was sharing about a recurring nightmare I used to have about having tickets to see the Rolling Stones and they were great seats and I missed the whole concert because I went back home to get my camera and then realized I didn’t have film or batteries and I was chasing all these ego needs and wants instead of simply enjoying my good fortune in having free tickets to the concert. The recurring nightmare that we all have is the realization that we can never satisfy the ego. It’s not possible, and yet we try, and try and try, but we can’t get no – no, no, no, SATISFACTION!
The only thing that truly satisfies is when we choose Love and are consistent. As hard as it can be to believe that – that’s the only path of fulfillment which IS satisfaction.
I find it very helpful to realize the ego is never satisfied, the body is only satiated for a moment. Instead, we can aspire to true fulfillment and discover something so much greater than momentary satisfaction! How wonderful! How motivating! Yes!
