Since I was born, I have been on a profound spiritual path to find God. As a child, I remember getting excited and having chills when I encountered mystical experiences. I always knew there was something better than the world I saw. Despite this knowing, the world got the best of me. I bought into the illusion. I was distracted by the matrix before me. I fell asleep for a minute in the dream but knew something was not right. I was not peaceful.
[showhide type=”links” more_text=”Read More” less_text=”Read Less”]Then one day in 2012, I had a health crisis that brought me to my knees. During this time as I slumbered in the hospital, I had an instant: a Holy Instant. It was the grand realization that my life was all an illusion created by me, my mind and my thinking. All it would take was for me to shift my fearful thoughts to thoughts of love and truth. This would bring me the peace I yearned for. In that moment, everything changed.
That same year, while searching for answers, I found Jennifer Hadley. She was hosting a week-long workshop with many ACIM teachers. I joined and listened. One of the teachers that spoke was a Reverend from the Pathways of Light ministries. In that moment, Spirit spoke to me and told me to join the ministry and become a reverend. I did and 2 years later I was an Ordained Minister. But it didn’t stop there. I continued working with Jennifer in her Master Living Program for 3.5 years as well as her Spiritual Counseling program.
During the days/evenings I work as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. While blessed with the opportunity to heal people medically, my connection with Spirit has helped me blend the principles of mind training into my practice. I help my patients see that healing is at the level of the mind and that they have a choice to make in their recovery. I cannot begin to tell you what a difference this has made for them. It is amazing to see how spirit works with a little willingness.
