Beauty is a spiritual quality. Beauty is an expression of the Divine that, if we let it, can be both profoundly inspiring and deeply nourishing. I’ve had to learn to look for beauty because I used to see with such critical eyes. I used to look for what was wrong. I always had an eye out for what wasn’t working well. I thought it was part of my life-purpose to go around criticizing and forcing my opinions and judgments on every thing I saw. Phew! That was such onerous work.
For the longest time I thought I WAS my opinions and judgments. I thought that it was my hates and loves that made me unique and special. I cultivated my opinions to the Nth degree. I labored endlessly in vain. I’m so grateful now that I changed my mind. It’s been extremely challenging for me to do it, but I’ve learned to replace the habit of judging with one of appreciation. I work at it every day of my life. I’ve learned that there’s nothing that can bring more benefit. Now, I’m grateful to put my attention on changing my mind every day. This is joyful work because I know I am sharing the benefits of changing my mind with everyone – I intend that ANYONE who appears to be mired in the habit of criticizing, shaming and blaming is also having a healing. “As I am lifted, I draw all unto me.”
Where I thought it was my responsibility to see what was ugly and not right, now I know it is my response-ability to see the beauty in everyone and everything. I discovered that when I could see the beauty and perfection in everyone, I would be healed of the perception that there was something wrong with me.
Once I was willing to see that there was nothing wrong with anyone, then I could finally see that there was nothing wrong with me. Are you willing to see the truth about everyone in your life? Or will you labor in vain. You choose this day, whom you will serve – the ego or the Spirit.
Be willing to see the beauty, allow yourself to perceive the beauty all around you and you WILL have healing. It’s up to you. No one can do this for you. Do not delay, see the beauty in your life today!
