It’s intense right now.  I don’t have to tell you that.  It’s not news.  I’m simply acknowledging it.  It’s REALLY intense right now and we’re all feeling it.

Yesterday morning I got a very early text from my next door neighbor that their car had been broken into, the window smashed, and a bag stolen.  The bag had simply some notebooks and things for their work, nothing anyone else would value.

When my neighbor, Carol, called the State Police (we’re in such a rural area, we don’t have police for our town) and they said that seven cars had been stolen over night from our area. When I was walking Bodhi past their house at 10am, she was outside, sweeping up the class and on the phone.
When she got off she said she was talking to the State Police again and people had reported 18 incidents from the night before.

I have no idea what the count of incidents was by the end of the day, but that’s intense!  We’re in an area where nothing usually happens of this nature.  Plus my neighbor found a magazine reloader by her mailbox.  When she texted that to me I thought, “magazines?  Are they loading magazines and catalogs into mailboxes in a way that’s causing trouble?”  Hahahaha.

I didn’t have any idea what she could be describing and then I realized it had something to do with guns.  Now, that’s NOT funny.

I don’t know what anything is for, but what we can see in the world and in ourselves is that the darkness is being exposed.  Healing IS happening despite all appearances.  AND it’s very intense right now.

I’m fine.  I’m not worried, I’m peaceful, but I can see that others are not.

It’s like at the beginning of the pandemic when people were in so much fear.  I felt mostly peaceful and I felt compelled as well as obligated to see how I could help people to feel more safe and to feel loved.

With the insanity breaking out all over, it’s important to reach out to people and see how they’re doing and extend compassion for what they’re going through.

Just taking time to be with people and have a conversation, a cup of tea, a walk in the park, it can make all the difference.  We’re here ONLY to be truly helpful.

It feels good to fulfill our function and live our purpose!
