I lived in Los Angeles 22 years.  If I still lived there, I know where I’d be right now.  I’d be with the demonstrators who are speaking up about the civil rights violations that are taking place.  I’d be there to add my voice, and to help keep the gatherings peaceful.  I’m not there in body, but I am there in Spirit.

I often go back to the words of one of my favorite teachers, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.:  

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate; only Love can do that.”

It’s my spiritual responsibility as an A Course in Miracles student to remember the spiritual truth and to teach only Love.

That’s how I can be truly helpful and that’s my objective.

It’s in living this way, demonstrating it every day, that I am awakening, and finding that I am more peaceful with every passing day, even though there are so many things in the world that are happening that I don’t like and don’t want.

Things are intensifying.  I keep saying it, because it’s true.  The pressure is on for all of humanity.  It’s that time in our journey when we’re being squeezed, mentally, emotionally, physically, financially and in all ways, in order to get us to give up our attachments to the causes of suffering.

We can go kicking and screaming, or we can go gracefully, gently.

When it feels very painful, that means that we’re not seeing things correctly and we’re not interested in the eternal infinite truth – we’re focused on our interpretations, and the meaning that we’ve given things.  And sometimes we believe we’re right about everything.

We can’t judge our brothers and sisters and hope to be at Peace.

If we’re not choosing Peace, if we’re choosing fear, instead of Love, compassion and kindness, then we’re not going to be a vibrational match for insight, Wisdom, Clarity, Freedom, Harmony, and so much more.

No matter what we choose, we’ll learn, but, quite frankly, I’m tired of learning through lessons in the world.

I’m choosing to learn through direct insight and inspiration.

It’s not only easier, and faster, it’s Joy-full.  And more Joy is always welcome.  I’m glad it’s my choice and I can see that now.
