Pain Pushes, Love Pulls!

I’ve noticed this week that many people have shared that they’re experiencing intense amounts of fear, worry and stress. Even more than usual. It feels to me that there’s a wave of energy that we’re all experiencing.

Aligning with the ego, getting caught in the world of effects, thoughts of lack and limitation always create a feeling of pain, stress and fear.

That feeling of pain, stress and fear is pushing us to WAKE UP and look at the root cause which is always going to be our thinking. One of the things I was sharing about this week in Finding Freedom is looking at the pain that is caused when we make negative meaning of situations.

Making negative meaning of situations is often habitual. It’s never required.

Believe it or not, even if someone is intentionally unkind to us we don’t have to take it personally. Suffering is optional because it’s all in the meaning we make of it.

Love heals! If we choose to assign negative meaning to our interpretation of events and circumstances and then blame others for our upset we’re actually avoiding our healing and procrastinating in our learning. I’ve done this a million times, so I feel qualified to be an expert.

In my experience, things frequently go differently than I had anticipated. There are many miscommunications and mis-takes. That’s all part of life. Even when it SEEMS like it’s not good, I’ve learned to trust that it HAS to be for my highest good because Divine Order is always operating AS my experience and IN my experience – there’s no profit for me in judging things to be wrong or bad.

Pain is a wake up call.
It’s like an alarm going off to get my attention to look at my thinking!

So many spiritual students, myself included, have been looking for something to DO to ease the pain. It was a major shift for me to realize that the pain was a result of my ego thinking. I learned to change my thinking, which required tremendous discipline. It was NOT EASY. And it was SO WORTH IT.

Changing your thoughts from making negative interpretations to choosing LOVE is a skill you can learn because it IS your natural way of being, even if it feels completely foreign. Make the commitment to CHOOSE LOVE in your thinking and the upset will become a thing of the past! You are loved.
