I feel incredibly blessed right now.  It’s not because of anything that’s happening in the world, it’s because of what’s happening in my awareness.

The world has so many INSANE things happening right now and I’m not worried about any of them, but I’m working, diligently, toward the results I’d like to have.

Systems break down.

People have issues.

Things turn out to be more complicated than we think.

There are sudden surprises that feel super challenging, like what a friend told me yesterday about her father’s sudden surgery that will require her to rearrange her life for a while and for her father to have a challenging path.

Life is always happening.  Always.

And despite what it seems like at times, it’s always progressive.  God’s very nature is progressive and never regressive.

Even when it seems like someone has relapsed, or fallen back into old patterns of behavior, there’s still a progression that’s relentless underneath it all.

God is relentlessly progressive.

Our job is to let go of the old ways of looking at things.

Dorothy Parker was a great wit.  She suffered bouts of depression and sometimes when there was a knock on the door she’d say, “what fresh hell is this?”  And she really meant it, she wasn’t being funny.

I just remembered that I used to think that thought, “what fresh hell is this?” from time to time, but to me I always said it as a joke.  It’s a funny line, after all.

I haven’t had the thought in many years, but it came to me now as I was writing this to you.

If our view of the world is that life is hell there will always be a fresh hell knocking at the door.  And yet, each knock is actually a knock of awakening.

Each knock reminds us, “I could choose peace instead of this.”  A Course in Miracles 

Peace is a choice until we fully let go of thinking that there’s anything else but Peace.

Peace is all I desire and Peace is all I have.

My mind is the mind of God.

My life is the life of God.

Peace is all there is.

Let’s make a quantum leap together.
