One of the things that’s most emotionally upsetting to us is when our sense of ourselves is threatened. For instance, if we see ourselves as a good and loving person, and something happens that makes it seem as if others think of us as a bad and unloving person, we can really freak out about it.

If we see ourselves as hardworking and someone else sees as lazy it can be very upsetting.

It can also be upsetting, strange as it seems, when we see ourselves as bad and ugly and someone else sees us as good and beautiful.

We get so attached to the image of ourselves that we’ve made.

We don’t even realize that we’ve made a false self that we’re in the process of undoing. And that’s normal, that’s life in this world.

However, now we can focus on cultivating a healthy sense of who we are, and what our TRUE identity is. It’s actually an incredible relief to realize we’re not the bad and ugly person we thought we were.

AND it does take GREAT willingness to see and know the truth and to give up the attachment to the thing that we’ve created – the Frankenstein monster version of ourselves that we both idolize and despise.

It’s such a crazy dichotomy and living inside of it is crazy making – so that’s why being able to open our awareness, expand our view and see with clarity is such a a relief.

We can rise above our false ideas and beliefs.
We can let the past go.
We can live life as free beings.

And it starts with our willingness to actually experience true Freedom.

Consider this – where in your life COULD you choose Freedom, but you don’t, because it would require too much of you. Is it a job? A relationship? An addiction?

We do have to be willing in order to have a healing. That’s why I’ve got this as my topic on my radio show today!
