I was self-quarantined for four weeks by myself and this week I’m at my brother’s house with the family. It’s definitely a different dynamic. There are five of us and we’re all in separate rooms most of the day and working or going to school online.
My brother’s family has a new puppy – Bobbi. She’s as cute as it’s possible for a puppy to be.
All the parks are closed here in Montclair, NJ and this whole area, maybe even the whole state, I’m not sure. Yet every day when the weather is nice there are so many people out walking on the street and lots of people are with dogs like we are. Bobbi the puppy wants to play with every dog she meets.
Spring is springing here in the most beautiful ways. And there are amazing and unexpected signs that lift our hearts. Like these rocks that are around where we can see them. Inspiring and so touching. I so completely LOVE that people are shining their spirit and thinking of others in the sweetest ways. I’m hoping to do some “rock messages” myself this weekend!

Our family has been taking family walks when the weather is good.
It’s amazing how many people are out on the streets walking. Yesterday we were out for a walk together and we saw a line of cars forming.
About 20 cars formed a line. Many were decorated with signs and balloons and streamers. They were celebrating the 50th birthday of someone in the neighborhood. They all gathered and then made a procession honking and yelling from their car as the birthday girl stood out on the lawn and received her birthday wishes.
The whole episode made me teary-eyed. I am so moved by how people are learning to shine their light in the time of COVID. It’s quite interesting.
I can feel so strongly the intensity in the world and the sadness that so many people are feeling right now. It’s important that we can focus on ways to lift each other up.
I asked my brother what was the most interesting thing that he’d cooked (he’s the main cook in his household) during the lockdown and he said “hamburger buns.” They wanted to have hamburgers and they didn’t have any buns so he baked some! He’s also been making potato chips.
Cooking for the family, now more than ever is a way to lift each other up and surprise each other.
The other day my niece made sushi!
We’re all branching out, and discovering new ways of doing things. I’ve started to do Sunday services online – it’s a lot of fun and a big hit! We’re calling it Sundays with Spirit.
This weekend you can join me, Jon Mundy, Renee Stahl, and more friends. We’ll have a spiritual celebration together and if you can’t join us, you can catch the replay! Because we’re going to be live on video, you’ll have to register to get the details. All are welcome, there’s no charge.
When we did the service last Sunday with Lisa Natoli (you can watch the replay if you register for this week), I asked who was sheltering at home all by themselves and about half of the 350 people said they were on their own. WOW!
I know that many people are beginning to feel a bit buggy after all this time alone. And that’s one of the reasons that our Power of Love Ministry is getting ready to start live-streaming our prayer sessions on Facebook. We are developing a powerful prayer ministry during this time and we’re getting ready to share it beyond just our community.
Prayer is a power tool beyond what we can even imagine, but it’s not the begging, beseeching prayers that most people are familiar with, that’s not the power tool I’m talking about.
I’m a Science of Mind trained RScP Practitioner for 20 years. My license is from the Agape International Spiritual Center. I learned to pray in a way that is truly healing and I am so grateful for the power of prayer in my life. I’ve experienced profound and miraculous healing through prayer.
Every day, part of my spiritual practice is to write inspiration and record a prayer to go with it. I’ve been doing that for about 13 years. You can join me in cultivating the willingness that raises us ALL up so we can be truly helpful in this world.
You can get the podcast of my daily prayers and/or find them on YouTube.
Having trouble sleeping?
There are now 444 episodes of my radio show on podcast. And some people listen to me as they fall asleep. I don’t take it personally when folks tell me I put them to sleep. I’m glad my voice can be soothing. You can subscribe to my podcast and have that as a resource. Maybe I can help you fall asleep. I’d be happy to!
This week my topic in the podcast is Healing Hatred. Many people have self-hatred they project outwards. Some turn it inwards. I really loved this week’s episode – I always learn and grow through listening to what Spirit has me share. We can have SO MUCH healing in our minds – it blows me away again and again! I used to feel intense hatred at times and I still feel bursts of anger that are intense. I’m so grateful for the healing I’ve had and I am calling forth EVEN MORE!
I look forward to our Sunday gathering. It means so much that we can join together and love on each other!
May you and your family feel blessed today and every day!
Here’s my nephew Mikey having morning snuggles with his new puppy. Two cuties who make the world a better place. So sweet!
