The ego is so darn sneaky I have to laugh at the ways it tempts me to go into judgment. Today I was sitting in my car in a parking lot. While I was finishing a phone call a man in a little sports car drove up and parked next to me. When he got out of the car I could see that he was wearing his jeans in the “sagging” style. I wish I had thought faster and taken picture.
Sagging is when the person’s pants are falling down and you can see their underpants.
This man was wearing bright green undershorts. The jeans he was wearing had an elastic waist band, (so not cool to the peeps who track these things). I presume the elastic waist band was to keep the pants from falling completely down.
I must confess that this sagging style of dress is incomprehensible to me. Somehow, in the mind of the sagger, this style seems cool, hip and it make sense. In my mind, The ego tells me this style makes him look like a clown.
Funny that it’s the same symbol representing two different things to the ego. The ego is always conflicted. It’s insane!
Fortunately, I remember to laugh. That’s the key to the ego insanity: remember to laugh!
What insanity have you recently seen or experienced and you forgot to laugh? Please share!
