I was moved to tears when I saw the news of the protests in Iran.  In case you don’t know, just over a week ago a 22 year old woman, Mahsa Amini was detained by the “morality police” for incorrectly wearing her hijab, her head covering.  She died, or was murdered, while in custody.

Protests have erupted in more than 80 cities in Iran, and are spreading around the world.  People, particularly young adults are rising up and protesting, dying in the streets, risking their lives in Iran, and in other places to let authoritarian regimes know that they will not stand for living in fear.   

They know they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Such courage!

Look at the protests in Russia over the draft of young men to fight in Ukraine.

Here in the USA, protests over the issue of abortion and the right for a woman to decide what happens to her own body are happening all over.  Across America, women who’ve never voted are registering to vote.  They’re motivated.

And some young men are so lost and confused, so completely without hope that the only thing they can think of to do is turn their self-hatred against others in a murderous rampage.

What does this have to have to do with spirituality and truth teachings?

My strong feeling, and the thing that brought me to tears is this is the time of the Christ being revealed.  It’s being revealed as the cry for the honoring of the Divine Feminine.  It’s being revealed in the cries of the young men who know they aren’t being honored either.

We’re here to be truly helpful.

The Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine must be united for humanity’s spiritual wholeness to be revealed.

We cannot have our own spiritual liberation and deny another persons sovereignty.  It’s only ego identified people who would set up a system to police people’s morals, and to direct what women can and cannot do with their bodies.

It’s interesting times.  I don’t feel angry or upset.  I feel encouraged because, sometimes, the way we heal is to have a healing crisis.  Sometimes the pimple has to be come inflamed and erupt in infection for the healing to happen.

A major upset occurs and things seem to explode and that’s what initiates a true and lasting change.  This is spiritual revolution.  This is how you get from the Dark Ages to the Renaissance.  

Just think, in the last six years or so, many of us have discovered that there are folks in our lives who are deeply prejudiced, and we might not have known they had those beliefs if things hadn’t gotten so stirred up on the political front.  The infection is erupting.

When we know who holds these beliefs in separation, in superiority and inferiority, in the belief in better than and less than, we can be a positive influence.  We can activate our spiritual practice to a new level of commitment and bring the darkness to the Light.  

Each of us is a Light-bringer and a Way-shower, divinely inspired and empowered to shine the Light of Christ wherever we go, wherever we are.  Over the years, I’ve had many conversations with people who were deeply prejudiced in their thinking and I’ve been able to help them shift their minds toward the truth because they came at me with their attacks.  

Just think about it.  Why would someone whose a religious zealot, believing in Satan and separation EVER enter into a conversation with me, if the deep desire of their heart wasn’t spiritual liberation?  

I could have pushed back and made them wrong.  I could have judged them and walked away, writing them off as ignorant and hateful, but then I wouldn’t have represented the one who sent me.  

In those situations I had to be willing to ask, “why is this my experience?  What am I to say and do to be truly helpful here?”

I’m not here to convince anyone or change anyone’s mind.  That’s not my job.  My job is to Love them and have compassion, to listen and to see the Light of Christ in them because that’s the only thing that’s truly helpful.  I’ve trained myself to do that, and I am in that training every minute of every day.  

Being compassionate is a constant refinement that I welcome.
Being compassionate is being loving and that’s what makes it healing.
Love is the only healer because Love is what we are.  
When we are loving we’re going back to our original instructions and representing the one who sent us.

I see these protests, these legal machinations, and these challenges as a path to spiritual liberation.  As it
says in A Course in Miracles:  everything is helpful, everything works together for good, and everything has been gently planned by one whose only interest is our good.  

I stand on that rock of truth and I am able to Love without hesitation.

I absolutely know that nonviolent protest, like Gandhi, King and Jesus all led, these protests will invite people to investigate and to change their minds.  They always have.

We seek not to change the world, but to change our minds about the world and when we’re willing to change our mind about anything that causes suffering, it’s a good day.  It’s a day of being helpful.

“Let us be glad that we can walk the world, and find so many chances to perceive another situation where God’s gift can once again be recognized as ours!

And thus will all the vestiges of hell, the secret sins and hidden hates be gone.

And all the loveliness which they concealed appear like lawns of Heaven to our sight, to lift us high above the thorny roads we travelled on before the Christ appeared.  Hear me, my brothers, hear and join with me.  God has ordained I cannot call in vain, and in His certainty I rest content.  For you will hear, and you will choose again.  And in this choice is everyone made free.

I thank You, Father, for these holy ones who are my brothers as they are Your Sons.  My faith in them is Yours.  I am as sure that they will come to me as You are sure of what they are, and will forever be.  They will accept the gift I offer them, because You gave it me on their behalf.  And as I would but do Your holy Will, so will they choose.  And I give thanks for them.

In my experience, when it feels the worst, and seems the worst, that is the time to have the greatest faith and trust.  Our willingness to hold to the truth and not be moved by ego insanity is the ONLY thing we need to bring on a breakthrough and release the bondage of the ego’s small and selfish self.  

We cannot tolerate playing small, living in lack and limitation, thinking we’re worthless and deserving of punishment.  It’s unbearable.  So, let’s not bear it anymore.  

Christ is rising in our hearts and minds.  
There’s no stopping it so let’s not delay.  
We don’t dare to condemn anyone.  
We see the Christ in them.  
We Love our brothers and sisters and they show us they are our salvation.  

Heaven is at hand!
