Imagine that you’re a long distance runner in a marathon race.
You’re running and running and it’s tiring.
Your muscles become depleted, weary and sore.
Your feet and back ache.
You may feel like giving up, because you’d like the pain to be over.
You just want to stop.
Maybe you complain about the scenery along the way.
Maybe you resent and judge the company you meet along the way.
Maybe it feels like you’re running through a valley of shadows and death.
And yet, you cannot actually stop until you cross the finish line.
The only option you have is to drag the race out.
You can fall to your knees and begin to crawl.
You can sit down and wallow in your misery.
If you choose, you can make it more painful, more intense.
Or you can use your mind to rise above it and keep thine eye single.
You can use every part of your experience to refine your mind and strengthen your awareness of what’s true and what’s not.
You can rejoice to know the journey is coming to an end and your victory is certain.
You’re in the last bit now. You can pick up the pace, or you can slow down. It’s up to you.
You can complain that it’s not over yet and lengthen your experience of the journey, or you can rejoice that your victory is in sight.
The I AM offers us ALL the strength we need to make it to victory. Ask and it is given!
I AM the strength, the courage, the power to move forward steadily through all experiences, whatever they may be, and remain joyous and uplifted, filled with Peace and Harmony at all times by the Glorious Presence which “I AM.”
Victory is mine! Victory is mine! Victory is mine!
The basic decision of the miracle-minded
is not to wait on time any longer than is necessary.
Time can waste as well as be wasted.
A Course in Miracles
Are you willing to put the I AM Presence / Higher Holy Spirit Self in charge of your journey to carry you to the end?
NEW PODCAST EPISODE! The most recent episode of my podcast’s topic is The Habit of Good and Bad. One of the ways that we keep the belief in separation going, and perpetuate the sense of unconscious guilt is by labeling things good and bad. In this episode, I share what I’ve learned about undoing this ego thought pattern in order to see unity instead of separation and the healing this practice brings. We can undo the patterns of pain in ways that are simple and effective.
