One of the things I share is that I really have a bottom line: I do not attack myself consciously.
I don’t allow my thoughts to go to negativity. If they start to go towards complaining about myself or judging myself, I take a timeout. I correct it with Love and kindness.
That’s my practice of Self-Love.
It’s part of my practice to not allow myself to judge myself. To just interrupt that thought.
Like Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings, say, “Thou shall not pass.” Just “Nope! Not going there!”
As Ken Wapnick told me when I interviewed him on my podcast – I asked him, “When you have a crazy thought, what do you do?” He said, “That way madness lies,” quoting from Shakespeare’s King Lear.
C’mon, let’s face it. If we’re fascinated by our judgments, if we’re so interested in our judgments, are we really interested in the truth, the knowledge, the Wisdom of God?
No! We’re much more interested in the story we made up.
Ugh.
A Course in Miracles reminds us: “I must have decided wrongly because I’m not at Peace.”
And from that recognition, we can make a new decision. We have the power to choose again.
Having a practice of interrupting that thought is essential to Self-Love.
Here’s what helped me to see it correctly: I became aware that I was often unhappy, and it was not loving to myself to allow that to continue. So I began speaking to myself very kindly. “Darling, yes, this is happening and it’s not the end of the world.”
This practice of gentle self-correction – of catching the attack thought and choosing Love instead – is something we cultivate together in my Masterful Living Program. We learn to love ourselves free of all the punishing ways we’ve developed.
We practice releasing those old judgments that keep us stuck. Because forgiveness starts with ourselves.
Let’s be like Gandalf for our own minds. Let’s not let those attack thoughts pass.
Let’s start now!
Registration closes today! Today, Monday, February 23rd at midnight Pacific. The real transformation happens when we remember who we really are. That’s what we do in my year-long program, Masterful Living. We follow a path of healing. It’s an upward trajectory of healing that starts in our mind – letting go of all of the blocks to Love so that we can fully accept all the Love that God has for us. It’s about learning HOW to have trust and faith. So that we can unleash our holiness and move towards true healing. Are you ready to transform your relationship with illness and discover the love that heals? Join us in Masterful Living for a year of profound transformation.

LATEST ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: In this episode, The Fear of Healing, I share that I used to be afraid of healing. I know that sounds backwards, but it’s true—and I suspect many of us carry this hidden fear without even realizing it. In this episode, we dove deep into A Course in Miracles Chapter 7, Section 2, “The Fear of Healing,” and explored why we unconsciously block the very miracles we pray for. We examined the startling difference between traditional forgiveness that leaves us empty and true forgiveness that actually brings relief. I shared how I discovered my own resistance to letting go of grievances (Good Lord, did I have resistance!) and why our minds create elaborate defenses against love. I explored challenging questions: What if being right isn’t worth the cost? What happens when we refuse to see ourselves as victims anymore? This isn’t easy territory to navigate, but it’s where real freedom lives. If you’ve ever wondered why healing feels so elusive despite your best efforts, or if you’re ready to discover what’s really blocking your miracles, this episode will meet you exactly where you are and gently guide you toward the peace that’s already yours.
