One of the most asked questions I get is: “How can you tell whether it’s ego or Spirit guiding you?”

The answer is simpler than most people think, but it requires something many of us resist: practice.

The still, small Voice that A Course in Miracles talks about – that voice of intuition, of divine guidance – has very specific characteristics. It’s never judgmental. It’s never emotional. It never has an attitude or an agenda.

Even when I’ve heard it say something like “Watch out!” when I wasn’t paying attention in traffic, there was no emotion to it. It was just clear and loud and helpful.

But most of the time, the Voice for God is quiet and gentle. Which is why so many people miss it or dismiss it. We’re expecting something dramatic, and instead we get a simple knowing or a quiet suggestion.

I’ve learned to trust my intuition through years of practice.

When I was younger, I used to get upset and try to control situations through my emotions. I thought my power was in my ability to manipulate through anger or drama.

But I’ve discovered something revolutionary: the power of Love operating in our hearts can heal anything. Those who really Love are invulnerable.

The ego wants us to believe we need to protect ourselves, defend ourselves, prove ourselves. But when we’re connected to that still, small Voice, we remember that we’re already safe, already whole, already loved.

The practice is learning to listen for that Voice throughout your day. Not just in meditation or prayer, but in the middle of ordinary life. When you’re trying to decide what to say in a difficult conversation. When you’re unsure about a decision. When you’re feeling triggered or upset.

Sometimes that guidance comes as a feeling. Sometimes it’s a knowing. Sometimes it’s an image or a memory. The key is learning to recognize the difference between the Voice that leads to peace and the voice that leads to conflict.

Here’s what I’ve noticed: when I follow the guidance of that still, small Voice, life flows. Doors open. The right people show up. Solutions appear that I never could have figured out with my thinking mind.

When I ignore that guidance and try to force things to work through willpower and ego strategies, everything becomes much harder than it needs to be.

Your intuition is not a luxury – it’s your connection to the wisdom that created you.

It’s how Love communicates with you throughout your day.

The question isn’t whether you have access to divine guidance. The question is: are you willing to practice listening for it?  And then, will you follow it?

In my year-long program, Masterful Living, we follow a path of healing.  It’s an upward trajectory of healing that starts in our mind – letting go of all of the blocks to Love so that we can fully accept all the Love that God has for us.  So that we can unleash our holiness and move towards true healing.  Are you ready to transform your relationship with illness and discover the love that heals? Join us in Masterful Living for a year of profound transformation.

With so many people feeling so anxious, angry and afraid right now, I’ve decided to re-open registration for about a week.  Click here now to learn more about Masterful Living.  You can also book a FREE Exploratory Call with one of the Quantum Counselors who can answer any of your questions because they’ve done the program.

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE:  In this episode, The Fear of Healing, I share that I used to be afraid of healing. I know that sounds backwards, but it’s true—and I suspect many of us carry this hidden fear without even realizing it. In this episode, we dove deep into A Course in Miracles Chapter 7, Section 2, “The Fear of Healing,” and explored why we unconsciously block the very miracles we pray for. We examined the startling difference between traditional forgiveness that leaves us empty and true forgiveness that actually brings relief. I shared how I discovered my own resistance to letting go of grievances (Good Lord, did I have resistance!) and why our minds create elaborate defenses against love. I explored challenging questions: What if being right isn’t worth the cost? What happens when we refuse to see ourselves as victims anymore? This isn’t easy territory to navigate, but it’s where real freedom lives. If you’ve ever wondered why healing feels so elusive despite your best efforts, or if you’re ready to discover what’s really blocking your miracles, this episode will meet you exactly where you are and gently guide you toward the peace that’s already yours.
