There’s SO MUCH power in willingness. I can’t even begin to say how much power there is in willingness. I see it all the time with folks in our programs – that’s why there’s so much focus on cultivating willingness in what I share.
In our spiritual waking up journey there are times when it feels like we’re stuck in a quagmire. It can feel like a whirlpool that keeps us in the spin cycle. I’m very familiar with it. This pattern of recycling through the same patterns again and again is familiar to everyone.
What’s helpful to know is that we don’t have to figure out how to get out of it in order to break free of it. We just have to be willing to get out of it in order to find the way out. Seriously.
It’s not more complicated than that.
Only ego makes it more complicated.
Spirit makes it simple: Be willing.
It’s as if there is a doorway, or a gateway, that’s ALWAYS available to us, but we can’t see it until we’re genuinely willing to surrender the attachment to playing small and living in lack and limitation.
How do we unhook the attachment to playing small and living in lack and limitation? Unhook the cause of it.
That’s right. Unhook the root cause of the mental pattern that keeps you stuck in the spin cycle, in the whirlpool, in the quagmire.
What IS the root cause?
It’s simply these beliefs:
Someone is better than or less than us.
If you’re a dedicated spiritual student then by now you know, at least on an intellectual level, that there’s a unity of all life. If all is one, is it even possible for anyone to be better than or less than you? No. Of course not. That’s a fantasy. We’re one. We’re united.
Does it seem impossible to give up a belief in better than and less than?
If we believe it, then it appears to be true for us and it will be the cause of our suffering, our sense of lack and limitation. It’s just a belief and no matter how much we invest in it, it will never be true. No matter how little we invest in it, it will always cause suffering.
Call upon the angelic realm, the ascended masters, the ancestors, call upon the Company of Heaven that are always there to support us if we will allow ourselves to be supported. Don’t ask for stuff in the material world. Ask for willingness, ask for the strength to see clearly, to choose Love.
The key is to surrender and be truly willing.
Surrender the heavy lifting of HOW to figure it out to that Higher Holy Spirit Self. ALLOW your healing.
Make yourself a welcome, ready and receptive place for it.
If you start to wonder how it’s going to happen, say to yourself:
“How is not my problem. I choose to allow. I choose Love now.“
As soon as we’re truly, genuinely willing to give up the right to our attack thoughts, the light has come and we begin to see the gateway, the way out of stuckness.
It’s there, it’s always there.
When we choose to block the light of Love in our awareness by cherishing our thoughts of lack and attack then we can’t see clearly.
Our willingness to depend on a higher intelligence than the one that made us miserable is all that is required.
Depend on Spirit, the great I AM.
Start listening and following.
Be obedient to Love’s impulse in you.
Love doesn’t need anything.
Love is never manipulative or self-serving, ever. Love IS everything. Love doesn’t know lack.
The end of lack is when we’re fully willing to stop attacking and simply BE Love. THEN, the power of Love will operate in us and we’ll be able to clearly perceive the way out of the quagmire, we’ll see the gateway and have the strength to choose it, and it won’t take much.
Attack thoughts weaken us in ALL ways.
Love strengthens us ALWAYS.
Love yourself first. Do this:
Make a list of 100 ways to be kind and loving to yourself.
Make a list of 100 ways that you are unkind and unloving to yourself.
Replace the unkind with the kind in your daily choices. Choose Love.
Love strengthens you always.
You don’t have to make yourself stop doing doing the negative habits – that can be really hard.
Replace the unloving with loving and then you’re moving at the speed of light before you know it! Try it! It works!
