I had faith that my Baja retreat would be beneficial, and it certainly has been. It’s also been filled with challenges from which I’ve learned a great deal. One of the greatest tools for my learning is the A Course in Miracles Lesson “I don’t know what anything is for.” So often, things do not unfold to serve the purpose I think they will. Fortunately, EVERYTHING, without exception, is for my learning and I am willing to be the happy learner.
I used to feel pushed, pulled and punished by my learning experiences, but not anymore. I feel grateful and I feel expanded. My goodness, I AM so very grateful that I can learn without suffering – much of the time! What a blessing.
This wonderful blessing of learning without suffering comes as a direct result of developing trust.
I could sit in contemplative meditation watching the view from my balcony for days at a time! It is a spectacular view in all kinds of weather and at all times of day and night. And, I’ve been able to enjoy it all week because of my willingness to trust. Thank you, God for my willingness!
