We have amazing inner resources. I just read a story about a man who was attacked by a mountain lion while our for a run in Colorado. He managed to actually kill the mountain lion and survive. Amazing and extraordinary things can happen in our lives and we have inner resources to surmount the challenge.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand what A Course in Miracles means when it tells us in lesson 135 that everything has been GENTLY planned by one whose only purpose is our good. How could being attacked by a mountain lion while innocently out for a run, and having a battle to the death, be gently planned for someone’s good? That seems incredible. Meaning, it seems impossible to believe.
And that’s where faith comes in. We have to be willing to accept this is the fact of our life. As ACIM also tells us: all things work together for our good without exception.
To have peace, we must accept these truths EVEN THOUGH we don’t understand them. This is the path of opening our mind to be ABLE to know the truth that liberates from thinking we can’t understand.
Faith reveals KNOWING which is entirely different from understanding and believing.
I put my faith in Love’s protection.
Let’s focus on being willing to know the truth and let the incredible be as it is. Our knowing of precisely why it would be for that mans good will come to us if we’re willing. I’d rather hold onto that, then constantly be chasing some kind of understanding.
This path is not for everyone, but I’m so glad I found it, because it is definitely brought me Peace!

Oh, and BTW, statistics are that barely a handful of people have been attacked and hurt by mountain lions in the last 100 years.
