As light bringers, we can vote with our heart. Voting is one simple way to take loving action in this world.

I’m praying for the people of the United States to vote with their heart tomorrow. My prayer is that our next president is the person who is the highest and best choice for that position.

Although, in my mind, I think I might know who the most loving candidate would be given the choices that we have, I do not know for certain. I don’t know who is best because I cannot see in all directions of time and space. I am not yet able to have the insight to see beyond time and space to truly KNOW who is the one who will make the most loving and inspired choices for America.

I pray to know, see, feel, and hear clearly the most loving choice in all moments.

It would be nice if we had an ideal candidate, but it seems that our candidates are people who have made choices that were loving and choices that were unloving; as well as choices that were selfish, and choices that were magnanimous. Me, too.

I do know that humility is essential in a great leader. So, I pray for the leader of the United States to have true humility, and that they have it through an understanding of the unity of all life, through Divine insight and inspiration, rather than through humiliation and suffering. I pray the same for myself.

As an American, I have been so loved by my forbears that many have died to ensure my right to vote. It is a sacred opportunity that many hold dear. Perhaps if someone in our immediate family had died to ensure our right to vote, it would make us value it even more. Recent presidential elections have taught us the importance of a few hundred votes.  People who don’t vote still have the right to complain about the government’s leaders. People even complain about God. People get angry and demand of God, “Why don’t you fix these problems we have here? Why don’t you do something about the violence? How can you let these things happen?” To which Spirit replies, “That’s why I sent you!” With our vote, we can have a voice for God.

A Course in Miracles tells us that we are here only to be truly helpful and that the One who sent us will guide us. As we prepare to vote, let’s all follow the guidance of the Higher Holy Spirit Self and vote from the heart.

Voting is one of the important ways that we can make a difference to future generations while also honoring our ancestors. What a glorious opportunity that is. In voting, I affirm that I am here to participate, to activate, and to motivate rather than vegetate. I am a registered voter. I vote and let my voice be heard in gratitude of those who went before me and worked so hard to make it possible for me to have the Freedom to vote.

At a time when there seems to be a great divide among people – let us hold and know that no matter the outcome, the United States of America is being guided to more loving and light filled choices!
