Awakening seems like a process. It can be like the process the caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly. The caterpillar has to go in retreat and completely liquify, surrender, dissolve all structure in order to emerge as the butterfly. WOW.
For many of us it’s less dramatic, instead it seems like peeling the layers of an onion and it really makes us cry. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE onions. I love them raw and I love them caramelized and love them in and on just about everything. However, I didn’t always love this process of peeling the layers of judgment the ego identification has layered on. In fact, at times it has felt like pure living hell.
Right now, there’s so much assistance from the Angelic and Ascended Master realms and it’s available to all of us. It’s not just for a few special people. All we have to do is ask for assistance.
This week I’ve been thinking a lot about last week’s classes on Holy Relationship with Your Body at LivingACourseinMiracles.com. My physical body has been such a key player in my waking up. It’s been a central focus in my self-image. I’m interested in shifting all that.
I’ve realized that this journey of awakening is about shifting from identifying with the body and the ego to identifying with the Higher Holy Spirit Self, the I AM that I AM, my unlimited, unprecedented, pristine, light-being Self. I believe we can make the shift much more rapidly if we engage four ways:
1. Focus on shifting that identification – look to see where you are identified all throughout your day. If you feel peaceful then you’re identified AND ENGAGED with the Higher Self, if you’re upset, you’re identified with the body and the ego.
2. Partner UP! Often. Ask for Divine support and assistance in seeing, knowing, feeling, and hearing clearly. Be receptive to the support. You are entitled to miracles.
3. Love is your healer, therefore look for as many ways to be loving as you can find. Love never asks for ANYTHING in return, including appreciation or recognition.
4. Be grateful for everything just as it is, because Divine Order is at work at all times. If you can’t see it, go back to step 2.
Through this basic application of spiritual practice ALL throughout your day, you will shift your identification and then you will be awake and feel free.
