It’s not about the doing, it’s about the willingness, and willingness is so much more than saying, “I am willing.”

I’ve been talking about this quite a bit lately in classes. We can say, “Oh, I’m willing to forgive my brothers and sisters,” but that’s not the same as true forgiveness. We can say, “I am willing to extend patience and kindness and generosity,” but that’s not the same as actively doing it when it feels really challenging and really partnering UP with the Holy Spirit.

True Willingness Means Actually Doing It

Here’s what helped me see it correctly: True willingness means actually DOING it. Not just saying the words. Not just having the intention. But being willing to practice it in the moments when it’s hard.

In other words, when someone is rubbing me the wrong way, when it feels like I want to scream, when it feels like I want to give up, do I give it UP to the HIgher Holy Spirit Self or do I affirm that I’m alone in this, that I have no support, that life is hard and everything is against me? Where is my willingness to let go and let God, FOR REAL, in those moments.

That’s the measure of my willingness. It’s potent and powerful.

This is mind-blowing when you really get it—how quickly we can have transformation when we have a strong practice of recognizing, “I need DO nothing.”

When we truly live this, we quicken our awakening.

A Powerful Time to Look Honestly

With the end of the year approaching, this is such a powerful time to look honestly at our willingness. Are we just saying the words? Or are we really willing to release those old grievances before we enter a new year?

A Course in Miracles tells us that our willingness is all that’s required, and valuing truth above all else is necessary to liberate.

That willingness has to be real.
It has to be active.
It has to be demonstrated.
Love is active, not passive.

The Goal We Share

For me, the way I’ve started to recognize my life is going is that it’s joining with other people who see the goal as accepting the Atonement for ourselves. Accepting the Atonement means the realization that separation never occurred, it could never occur, it will never occur, and that our experience in this world is a projection, and that we can transcend it.

We can comprehend it, if we’re willing. We can transcend, we can comprehend, if we’re willing.

Moving Beyond Words

This is what we do in my Masterful Living Program (which starts January 3rd)—we move beyond just saying “I’m willing” to actually practicing the release. And when we do, everything shifts.

Our willingness is all that’s required. Ask yourself, is your willingness real? That’s the question worth asking in each moment as we approach this new year.  It’s almost December.  January will come in a flash.

Join us in my Masterful Living Program in 2026 – this is where we’ll do this transformational work together. Or start with a FREE Forgiveness Workshop (next one is Sunday, Dec 7)  where you’ll learn the exact practices that can heal your heart and your life.

The patterns stop with us. If you’ve been carrying decades of pain in your relationships with your mother, daughter, or sister—the resentments that won’t let go, the silence that feels permanent, the wounds passed down through generations—this is your invitation to freedom. Join me for Mother, Daughter, Sister: Spiritual Healing for Ourselves, Our Family & the World, a powerful 4-part transformational series where we’ll work at the level of mind to heal what feels impossible to heal. I’ll share the same spiritual tools I used to transform my relationship with my mother before her transition—tools that create quantum healing because all minds are joined. When YOU are willing to change your mind about yourself, about them, about the past, miracles ripple through your whole family. You don’t need them to change, apologize, or even participate. Your willingness is enough. NOW STARTING Thursday, December 4th Let’s do this together. 💜

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE:   The Night Gratitude Saved My Life, In this Thanksgiving week episode, I dive deep into Lesson 195, “Love is the way I walk in gratitude,” sharing how gratitude became my game-changer long before I found A Course in Miracles. I tell the story of how I learned there’s no way to wish punishment on another without experiencing it myself because we’re in “instant karma time.” True gratitude makes no comparisons and no exceptions—we’re grateful for ALL because we’re separate from no living thing, and when our forgiveness is complete, we’ll have total gratitude, seeing that everything has earned the right to love by being loving.
