I’d like to share something I didn’t understand for the longest time, because no one ever explained it to me in a way that landed.

In the oneness of all life, in that one Mind, all of our minds are joined. Which means there are no private thoughts.

We can delude ourselves into believing otherwise. Nobody knows what I’m thinking, so I can isolate, self-medicate, and judge myself in secret.

But everyone is tuning in on some level, because we’re all part of one another.

Here’s why this matters so much.

For years, I deeply desired to create a successful ministry, one that’s truly helpful and also supports me, so I could do the work I love.

But as long as I was entertaining all those attack thoughts and judgments against myself, I didn’t feel worthy of being supported by love.

And so I wouldn’t allow myself to receive it.

If we broadcast that we’re not worthy of support, others tune in to that broadcast, and they don’t support us, because we won’t allow it.

This is one of the most miraculous healings I watch happen for people who really do the work. They finally start allowing themselves to be supported, to receive love, to be made whole.

A Course in Miracles names this process honestly. In the Manual for Teachers, describing the period of undoing, it says:

“This need not be painful, but it usually is so experienced. It seems as if things are being taken away, and it is rarely understood initially that their lack of value is merely being recognized.”

If you feel like things are being taken from you right now, that’s not punishment. It’s the recognition that what’s falling away never truly served you.

So let’s get into a holy relationship with ourselves. Let’s start loving ourselves one choice at a time. Is it challenging? Yes. And it is SO worth it.

Who’s in charge of your spiritual practice? You are. Who’s in charge of your ability to choose love? You are.

We are worthy of love and support, right now, exactly as we are.
