Do you believe it’s better to give than to receive? Since all is one, how could it possibly be better to give than to receive?
When we receive we GIVE others an opportunity to share, and that’s always a blessing. Many people who feel lack of abundance and prosperity in their life are giving in order to get something in return. If they’re giving to get they may feel unappreciated. Many who volunteer in spiritual community are looking to get something in return: they like to be recognized and appreciated, but isn’t that giving in order to get? Since Love is unconditional, where’s the Love in giving to get recognition or appreciation?
Do you ever feel like people are taking advantage of you? I used to feel that way and when someone asked me about it recently, I realized that I haven’t felt that in a long time and I know why. No one can take advantage of me without my consent. I don’t give that consent anymore.
When I used to give of my time, energy, money, attention and affection in order to GET something in return, then I used to feel taken advantage of. In actuality, I was manipulating people to try to get something from them. Who is taking advantage of who?
Manipulators attract manipulators. Like attracts like.
If you feel unappreciated then you’re probably giving in order to get something back. I’ve learned that when I’m giving from the overflow of God’s bountiful goodness then I don’t need any recognition or appreciation. I’m giving because I have been given to.
Don’t hold back Love and then you’ll feel the flow of prosperity in your life! Being in the flow of Love is more than enough reward – it’s true abundance!
I AM willing to be the perfect giver and receiver of Love. I AM in the flow of Love.
