I used to think that to try to purify my life, my thoughts, my choices and my words was a MASSIVE burden that could never be accomplished. And then I decided to cultivate a pure, pristine awareness and it began to happen. That’s how valuable a simple decision, earnestly made, can be.
The more we purify our thoughts and awareness the more we can recognize what is impure and choose to discard it. This is the profoundly healing spiritual practice I share in ALL my classes because it’s the primary thing that has been my healer. It’s an active practice of Love for myself. I call it “taking out the trash.”
All healing is done in the mind and then transfers to our life, experiences and feelings.
If we’re not doing that practice of purification then we’ve only one other choice, affirming and making more real our investment in thoughts that cause our suffering. If we go that road then self-medication and delusion are inevitable. Inevitable.
WHAT????
Self-medication and delusion are inevitable if we’re not willing to purify our minds of false thoughts?
Yes.
You’ve already proved it a thousand times over. We all have.
Now is the moment to choose to decide to purify your mind and take out the trash thoughts, the stinkin’ thinkin’ that causes so much suffering.
It’s so much easier than you think.
It’s not easy, no, it’s not easy.
It’s just easier than we think.
At least it has been for me.
And, still, to be honest it’s the 2nd hardest thing I’ve ever done.
What’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done?
The hardest thing I’ve ever done was live in suffering, delusion, denial, and self-medication because I wasn’t even willing to make that decision to purify my mind.
The good news is, once you decide, even though it’s intensely challenging at times, there is all manner of support, visible and invisible rushing in for you. AND you cannot fail.
That’s right, if you authentically make the decision and keep at it, no matter how often you fall down, you don’t give up, you will succeed. Spirit never fails. And that’s what you are, pure Spirit.
