One of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves is an increased sense of well-being. Our breath is something that affects us all day every day. You’ll notice that if you feel stressed or nervous that you’ll probably also start shallow breathing, which only increases a sense of physical stress.
I’ve noticed that inspiration comes in on the breath. When we’re stressed, we’re less likely to be open to inspiration. Without inspiration then we’re just following the ego, which means we’re repeating the past which means nothing new is going to happen and we’re putting our healing on hold. Breathing more deeply really helps shift the stress and sense of feeling stuck and limited. Try it!
A beautiful practice that Patricia Cota-Robles shared in a class we did last year is a simple four part breath she calls Rhythmic Holy Breath. I take about four seconds for each of the four parts of the breath. (You can find this in her wonderful book The Violet Flame, God’s Gift to Humanity.) I love this practice and find it is deeply centering, balancing and harmonizing. Two minutes will make a world of difference if you practice it!
1. Inhale – On the inbreathe, I deliberately breathe the Love of God into my HeartFlame while consciously reaching higher and higher frequencies of my Mother God’s Divine Love.
2. HOLD – As I hold the Holy Breath in my HeartFlame, I consciously assimilate the Love of God into the Divinity of my heart.
3. Exhale – On the out breath, I expand the Love of God into every cell, organ, and electron, of my physical, emotional, mental and etheric bodies.
4. HOLD – As I hold the Holy Breath out, I deliberately project the assimilated Love of God into the HeartFlames of every man woman and child.
Once I become familiar with the process of the Rhythmic Holy Breath, it will be an extremely powerful and very easy way for me to assimilate and expand the Love of God throughout my busy day.
The following affirmation is done along with the four part breath:
As I inbreathe, I affirm in the silence of my heart:
I AM inbreathing the Love of God.
As I hold the Breath in, I affirm in the silence of my heart:
I AM Assimilating the Love of God.
As I out breathe, I Affirming the silence of my heart:
I AM expanding the Love of God.
As I hold the breath out, I affirming the silence of my heart:
I AM projecting the Love of God
(Repeat several times.)
In practicing this simple, powerful, beautiful and nourishing breathing we are loving ourselves free of stress, worry, exhaustion, confusion, and all manner of discord. Try it and see!
So often, people are willing to go to all kinds of lengths and pay all kinds of money to try and get some expert to help them when they can truly help themselves without cost and with greater benefit. This practice of Rhythmic Holy Breath is simple and free!

We can accomplish so much simply learning to breathe more fully and allow more nourishment on all levels. On the dietary side of things – since we’re going gluten free, and taking a break from wheat, how about some gluten free pancakes? Here’s a great pancake recipe for you to try:
ALMOND BUTTER PANCAKES
From the Clean Team
1 cup almond flour or meal
1 cup almond or rice milk
pinch of sea salt
splash of vanilla (optional)
1/2 cup almond butter
2 teaspoons cinnamon
coconut oil
cashew or almond butter + fresh or frozen berries
Directions: Mix batter until well combined and almond flour is smooth. On high heat, bring a frying pan or griddle to a very warm temperature, add a teaspoon of coconut oil and let it melt, spreading on the pan to avoid sticking. Lower heat to medium and with a measuring cup pour pancakes onto the pan/griddle and wait until they begin to bubble on top and then flip. Serve warm with almond or cashew butter and fresh berries. Delicious!!
