I’ve found that healing often begins with my own gratitude. My willingness to accept that encoded into every challenging experience is a gift is the starting point of my gratitude.
Being willing to receive a gift is the first step towards having it. Gratitude amplifies my willingness and brings the gifts Spirit offers even closer. Willingness and gratitude are also part of a process of turning over the doing of the healing to the Higher Holy Spirit Self.
In THE ART OF SPIRITUAL HEALING, the great mystic Joel Goldsmith said, “Healing is finding an inner communion with something greater, far greater, than anything in the world; it is finding ourselves in God, finding ourselves in a spiritual peace, an inner peace, an inner glow, all of which comes to us with the realization of God with us, the presence and power of God felt.”
Today my opportunity is to find the gift encoded into a painful experience and gratefully accept that gift, the learning and the healing.
In finding and accepting the gift, I find the spiritual purpose of it. I find Spirit in it. In this practice, I call forth my own healing and I further my spiritual practice of nonviolence. Now, I can consciously help others and show them through my own demonstration how they too can heal.
Every day I move the world in the direction of peace by my nonviolent choice and action. Today, I make a difference in the world. I am a healer and I am healed.
