I am so completely grateful for my teachers! One of my greatest teachers continues to be the living legacy of Love and inspiration from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Thank you for your precious words, your life, your heart, your willingness, and your dedication. You are my teacher!
The best teachers are usually wonderfully authentic. You may not like everything about them. They might have edges that don’t seem so flexible. Maybe that edge is the the razors narrow edge of truth.
Truth doesn’t bend itself to conform to people’s opinions and preferences. Truth is eternally true and applies the same to all, consistently. A great teacher cannot compromise the truth. Truth is Love. Love is truth. Love, as Shakespeare so beautifully said, “does not alter when it alteration finds, nor bends with the remove to remove, it is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken.”
Upon this great Love that has given birth to us, we must depend for all things.
There is a great Light in each of us and it is the truth that is encoded into our very beingness. No one is without this spark of divinity.
Let us value the truth above all for truly it is our own essence! When we reject the truth, we reject our own dear Self.
