Have you ever felt like you were pushing to make something happen?
Of course you have. We’ve all had that feeling numerous times.
And we know the difference between that pushing feeling and the way it feels when we ALLOW things to unfold. If we feel we have to push and push to make things unfold the way we like, isn’t there a lack of trust?
What would cause that lack of trust? In my own experience, when I lack trust in Spirit and in Life, it’s because I have self-doubt. I’ve learned that pushing isn’t the answer, although I can still find myself pushing at times.
When I find myself pushing to make things happen, trying to control, I notice the energy shift from my peaceful state and that’s my clue to step back, although I don’t always recognize it in the moment. I’d like to.
Every day is a learning day for me. I’m a life-long learner and life is teaching me all day long.
If I keep pushing then I’m affirming that trust isn’t possible.
It means I believe that I have to push and control or things will be bad for me.
I don’t wish to reinforce those beliefs anymore, and that’s a big incentive to learn to relax and stop pushing.
I can allow my good to reveal itself in my life and I can allow Spirit to teach me how to live a life of ease and grace instead of pushing and affirming that Life isn’t trustworthy. I have choices.
