It’s not hard to understand.  It’s really very simple.  And still we forget what is so obvious and that makes us feel stupid.  Belligerently, willfully stupid,

Here it is:

We cannot be open and receptive to miracles and be complaining, judging, attacking and criticizing at the very same time.

We cannot ride two separate horses going in two separate directions.  

We immediately fall off and get nowhere.

And that’s what I see so many spiritual students doing.  

We SAY that we’re open and available for inspiration and guidance.

We say we really, REALLY want that inspiration and guidance.

But then our mind is completely blocked because we’re focused on worry and fear – rehearsing for failure, imagining scenarios we do not want to experience.

We say we “know” our thoughts create our experience, and then we can’t stop imagining what we don’t want.

As A Course in Miracles says, “we’re far too tolerant of mind-wandering.”  And we are.

There’s something so sticky and attractive about the idea that life is against us and we’re the victim of the world.  

And yet, no matter how appealing and sticky those beliefs are, they’re still not true.  They’re merely smoke and mirrors.

As I have come to see it and feel it – we don’t value the truth enough.  We’re far too fond of our imaginings.

And I guess that’s why Spirit gave me this topic for my latest podcast episode. 

We’re entitled to miracles.

So, let’s make way for them!
