I’m so glad I followed my guidance and dove into the Change Your Mind About Your Body program that continues on through October.  I’ve had so many personal aha’s and inspirations.  That’s one of the things I love about sharing the A Course in Miracles teachings in their practical application.

Each little shift in thought is so helpful.  It truly is a miracle.

We truly have only one job.  One thing to focus on and that’s being willing to be as loving as we can in each moment.  With that, the healing we desire will surely occur.

However, if the healing we desire is simply to fix or repair a broken false idol, then our desire’s fulfillment would only lead to more suffering.

I’ve watched myself and how I’ve had mental attachments and fixations on certain things.  It was always because I thought my happiness, or my salvation lay in achieving those goals in the world.  I honestly didn’t see that those fixations were a distraction.

I thought I knew what was best.

If the goal is not being sick, then we’re forgetting that the goal is remembering our true identity and that our one job is to be willing to be loving.

Of course, no one wishes to have a sick body – well, except for those people who see it as beneficial.  You might wonder how anyone could see sickness as beneficial, but if we’re willing to see that sickness is a way to avoid the truth, and to try to make others feel guilty, or as punishment for our own guilt – then we might see that sickness has a purpose.

To me it’s so critically important that we not judge ourselves no matter what’s going on.  When we judge ourselves we’re living in limitation and attack and life is painful.  It’s one of the many ways that we play small, and punish ourselves.  We play small when we don’t accept the truth about ourselves and about God.

We play small when we make choices that feel shameful and embarrassing, and seem to be impossible to avoid.  Again, this is more self-punishment.  When we’re in that mode of self-attack we’re absolutely convinced we’re our body, and that we’re our personality when neither is true.  We’re pure Spirit.

I can understand that it’s hard to believe that we can ever become awakened, enlightened, fully realized beings, and when that’s our thought it’s even harder to trade in the goals that might bring temporary happiness in this world for a step towards our awakening.

It can seem like the Holy Instant is a long way off, and we don’t have what it takes to get there, but that’s not true.

We’re part of God, so, of course we have what it takes.  AND, we do have to see the value of awakening and desire it enough to choose it rather than whatever feels like it would make us temporarily happy.

For instance, we can easily see how it would make us temporarily happy to be cancer-free, or to reach our ideal weight, or some goal in healing like that.  But the goal of healing the mind, will lead to an infinite experience of Joy and happiness, fulfillment and Freedom – why play small?

We play small because of a foundational belief in unworthiness.
It’s the mental and emotional habit we’re all trying to break.
No one is exempt.

There’s a way out, it is with cultivating the willingness to be loving.
We cannot judge and be loving at the same time.
We cannot complain and be loving at the same time.
We cannot be unloving and succeed at being happy.

What are we truly interested in? That’s the REAL question.

When we heal the mind, everything else can heal.

When we focus on healing whatever’s showing up on the screen of our life by working in form, rather than in the invisible, we’re distracted.

When we’re pushing density trying to find a solution, we’ve forgotten that we’re part of God and that we have infinite resources at the level of the mind, that’s where all healing is – not in the world.

I feel so inspired by the healing that people are having in our program and the healing that I feel is coming for all of us.

I’m grateful for each one’s willingness. We rise together!
